I am an Assistant Professor in the English Department at Southern Utah University, where I specialize in African American and Native American literature, contemporary American literature, comparative ethnic approaches to literary studies, and critical race studies. I completed my dissertation on multiethnic U.S. road trip literature at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2020. This project and my current research is inspired by my own love of driving around for extended periods of time, and by my commitment to centering literature by writers of color. My work intersects several fields in the humanities, drawing from literary studies, cultural studies, mobility studies, and ethnic studies.
You can find me on Twitter, at SUU’s English Department website, and on Academia.edu. You can also contact me by email at nicole.dib@gmail.com.
