I am a PhD candidate in the Department of English at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I specialize in contemporary American literature, comparative ethnic approaches to literary studies, and critical race studies. I am currently finishing my dissertation on multiethnic U.S. road trip literature of the 20th- and 21st- century. This project is inspired by my own love of driving around for extended periods of time, and by my commitment to centering literature by writers of color. My work intersects several fields in the humanities, drawing from literary studies, cultural studies, mobility studies, and ethnic studies.

You can find me on Twitter here, at Academia.edu here, and at the UCSB English Department here. You can also contact me by email at nicole.dib@gmail.com.

Many thanks to Elena Bolotnikov for the header drawing. Happy travels!
